After a fantastic few weeks of glorious football and largely positive results, this tough run of fixtures for Derby County ended in disappointing fashion with a, in the end, comprehensive defeat to Villa yesterday.
However, having woken up this morning and checked, more positive news is that The Rams remain 3 points off the automatic promotion spots, Villa have not been crowned champions and George Thorne is still nowhere near the first team squad. Read the rest of this entry
A policy I have always adopted over the years for gigs and football is “if in doubt, get a ticket”.
I would say this policy serves me well 85% of the time, however I doubt it will ever deliver more spectacularly than with last night’s epic victory at Old Trafford. Read the rest of this entry
After what seemed like a very long international break, I think all Derby fans were chomping at the bit for yesterday’s trip to Rotherham.
A relatively local and winnable fixture, The Rams in fine fettle, a sold out away end and the Lampard effect in full motion. Not even a flash train strike could spoil the anticipation.

The sun was shining, 4000 Rams fans were in good voice and you will know the team won 4-1. Whilst its clearly stupidly early days, here’s a few thoughts on yesterday’s proceedings. Read the rest of this entry
Not more than a month ago, the Rams were 45 minutes from a date at Wembley and another golden shot at the Premier League.
Fast forward 4 weeks and the Championship looks like a 6 season Football manager save, with crazy stuff happening all over the place and DCFC, as you would expect, being right in the eye of this bonkers storm. Read the rest of this entry
