19th – Derby County Then and Now

Football inflation has been incredible over the past decade and none more so than in the world of Derby County since the arrival of Mel Morris.

Whilst we have written at length on here around The Rams spectacular failings in the transfer market, the equally harrowing Nigel Clough austerity era is still less than a decade ago. Here are some example of how things have changed in that time. Shout to my brother who came out of retirement to write most of this one. Read the rest of this entry

18th – Derby County v Notts Forest Post Match

As we walked back to the car last night, I lamented to everyone that I had to write this post match report and openly asked “anyone got any ideas?”. Yes it was that sort of 0-0.

Anyway here’s my best effort at writing something interesting about last nights stalemate. Read the rest of this entry

17th – Derby County v Notts Forest Preview

Todays the day everyone. Hold onto your hats, get a couple of pre match looseners down you and let’s get into the first Derby Forest clash of the season.

For the last few years Forest have been absolute cannon fodder and have hardly laid a glove on us at Pride Park. Tonight looks like it might be a more competitive match up, but let’s not let that stop us throwing a few cheap shots to get everyone in the mood. Read the rest of this entry

13th – Richard Keogh

Has there ever been a player who has divided opinion amongst Derby fans more than Richard Keogh?

Whilst there is no debate at all about his wholehearted playing style and commitment to the cause, some fans love him whilst others can’t stand him and feel he is synonymous with everything that’s gone wrong on the pitch since 2014. Read the rest of this entry

Its Monday morning and exactly one week until Forest. So here’s a nice easy user friendly post for you to ease into the week and read whilst using the bathroom, waiting for public transport or queueing at the McDonalds drive through.

Its the Derby County Mel Morris era summed up using the medium of The Playlist. Read the rest of this entry

9th – Wigan Away

Todays another ‘cheat day’ in Advent terms as I get a rest from my daily more creative posts and give you the lowdown on yesterdays ‘gritty’ 1-0 win at Wigan.

As you will see there were plenty of things in this game, good and bad, that we have seen before but a wins a wins a win!

Heres what went down. Read the rest of this entry

8th – Tom Lawrence

Behind todays window it’s the Rams mercurial marmite winger, Tom Lawrence.

Over the last few years, I have written consistently that no player divides the opinion of Rams fans like Richard Keogh (and will do so again in the coming days!). However Tom Lawrence is increasingly starting to challenge that statement. Read the rest of this entry

6th – Harry Wilson

In a vain attempt to keep these posts vaguely relevant and on trend, behind todays window we have superstar man of the moment, Harry Wilson.

Battle through a couple of paragraphs of my rubbish then kick back and enjoy a cracking YouTube video of the man himself doing his thing. Read the rest of this entry

5th – Mels Worst Eleven – Part 2

Continuing yesterdays trip down misery lane with the Derby County recruitment team of Transfer windows past, here’s the second part of Mels Worst Eleven. Read the rest of this entry
