Updates on Ramspace have been sparse over the last 6 weeks or so. Some of this is because I’ve been busy with work, some of it is because you don’t need me to tell you in a smart arse way what you can see for yourself, but mostly it’s because I’ve been so gutted after almost every game recently I just didn’t fancy writing about it.
With the last chance of automatic promotion disappearing on Friday night with yet another example of the Rams having no idea how to win a game, it’s time to ask some questions. Read the rest of this entry
Last night I went to Rotherham. With Bournemouth’s slip at the weekend this was a great opportunity, in front of a massive away support, to get ourselves ahead of them for the first time in months.
Unfortunately it didn’t quite go to plan. Here’s my thoughts. Read the rest of this entry
I think it’s fair to say it’s been a rollercoaster few weeks for the Super Rams. I’ve had loads of articles in mind good to go but it seems there’s been stuff happening almost daily and the general mood has swung more than Paul Jewell on a night out with Billy Davies!
Coming to the conclusion there’s never a right time to post about DCFC, here’s a Rams Barometer which from 9.30pm on 28th January to when Steve Nic fires up his laptop tomorrow morning is about as relevant as I can make it. Enjoy. Read the rest of this entry
With the January window only open for 2 days, the Rams have copied last year’s blueprint and flown out the traps with 3 new signings (of different types admittedly) already.
As expected, Shots £500k move from Stoke is confirmed (significantly freeing up a loan space), Darren Bent arrives from Villa and ex Chelsea youngster and Swedish youth international Isak Ssewankambo arrives on trial with the U-21 squad. Clearly the recruitment department didn’t choose to “have the extra day” as many companies have done this year.

I follow a really good account on Twitter @finishedplayers where they tweet where are they now pictures of ex players and their current jobs and/or status in life (have a look for Sasa Curcic).
They’ve recently posted a couple of belters on Kevin Francis and Malcolm Christie which I’ve reproduced here. However, inspired, I took to the internet and looked up a few more ex Rams to go with them. Fire in anymore you know. Read the rest of this entry
After yesterdays draw with Norwich there was some frankly ludicrous negativity online and on the radio. Yes we had a bad week, but we are still very much in the leading pack with the Xmas period and transfer window imminent.
One of Steve’s Mantra’s is that he doesn’t look at the table until the last 10 games. His theory being that you just make sure you are in contention at that point and that’s where the season starts. Apparently that was how Fergie approached every season at United.
On that basis I recently took a look at scheduled run in to the end of the season. Read the rest of this entry
Today the Rams take on Norwich in what has now become a really big game. As I said after Chelsea, Steve talks about performances but today we need 3 points end of.
Today’s game is also a big one for our centre forward who I have no doubt has been counting the days to get amongst the Canaries.

Last week, when I posted the Boys from Espana post, I made the comment that DCFC had not had many Spanish players but the one’s we’d had, had all been great.
This sweeping statement led one smart alec (that’s you indiepop Rob) to quickly remind me of Manel. In fairness both SSpaceram and I both recall him doing a job at a time of need. That said we soon thought of a few other strikers who certainly didn’t come up to scratch. Read this list and weep. Read the rest of this entry
