It doesn’t really feel like football season has gone away with all the Rams transfer action. However, some of us have been getting our live sport fix watching Derbyshire Falcons in the T20. When it comes to cricket, Derbyshire are perennial underdogs but are having a decent run in the shortest form of the game, leading to this Fridays home game against Notts. Although, we are now less than a month from pre-season training there has hardly been a single day this summer break, where there’s not been some form of Rams related news or development.
Without doubt this has reached a crescendo over the last couple of weeks so, whilst all or most of these could have been articles in their own right, herewith some thoughts on recent events.
Ramspace have obtained some exclusive footage of the Forest boardroom meeting that brought down the curtain on Billy Davies’ two and half year reign. The footage reveals an almost unanimous vote, with just one person in disagreement.

On leaving The Rams to join Rotherham on a 2 year deal. Ben Pringle concluded “for whatever reason, it hasn’t worked out”. An odd conclusion in some ways from a man who joined the Rams fresh from the Northern Premier League and went on to make 23 appearances.
