Rams Restructuring

With Nigel’s recent comments that the squad will be seriously shaken up this summer and Tom Glick’s more recent, “no signings, no season tickets” pledge, there is no doubt there are several members of the current squad who are now “at risk”.
With only 6 weeks and 8 games left for several players to “re-apply” for their jobs, here’s our verdict.

Late Pain, No Gain, Again……

As the Rams edge closer to Championship safety and yet another summer of rebuilding, I am sure Nigel is already well on the way to building a list of things which need to change next season.

Pretty high on that list (I’ll accept signing Fielding being higher & maybe a £1m striker but nothing else) needs to be an end to this never ending stream of crushing late goals. Read the rest of this entry

Post Match Thoughts – Swansea

I’m not sure if it’s an indicator of the crazy world of DCFC or the bonkers nature of the Championship, but somehow in 4 days we’ve gone from looking racing certs to go down to, almost (whisper it), being guaranteed Championship football next season.

In Reserve

Moving swiftly on from the Doncaster debacle, a few of us decided to use a bit of flexi-time and take in the reserves v. Sheff. Wednesday in Belper this afternoon. We used to watch the reserves a lot in our younger days and its always good to see some of the young players and outcasts stretching their legs. The Rams won 2-0 against a very young Wednesday side (the majority weren’t even shaving yet – that’s no exaggeration) and although it could and should have been 5 or 6, it wasn’t the most slick performance.
