Before Saturday, Robbie Savage claimed we needed 4 wins to guarantee Championship football for next season. We didn’t think we’d be talking like this a couple of months ago. For me, the target is to get some wins quickly and salvage something from this year. But what?

Yesterday I went to Scunthorpe and overall, I suppose, I was happy with the point. The opposition were poor but the pitch was truly shocking and it really wasn’t the day for our passing football.

It’s been yet another turbulent few days in DCFC land with Clough’s Cywka rant the main focus of attention. Even many pro-Clough fans have seen this as a step too far and goodwill seems to be ebbing away. I wondered if Clough may say it “heat of the moment stuff” but instead we have a statement from Tomasz on the official club site (helpfully reprinted by the DET) in which he says he has no problem with Clough’s comments. At least if Tomasz’s football career doesn’t work out, he’ll soon find work in a press office judging by his language and prose.
After another week of disappointment and frustration for Rams fans, there is no question that patience is being stretched to the max by the current state of affairs at DCFC.
The difference in mood & general feeling around the club between the end of this Ipswich game and the corresponding away game couldn’t be further apart. Whilst we’ve had many really good and really bad seasons, I don’t think I can recall one falling quite so spectacularly off the edge of the cliff as this one. Read the rest of this entry
