Nigel to meet old friend?

Swindon or Crawley might not have captured the imagination of many Rams fans when the FA Cup draw was made on Sunday but it immediately brought to  mind a quote from Nigel Clough last season.

After the fracas against Forest at home, you may remember Silly making some embarrassing allegations about being kneed in the back of the calf by Clough and threatening to press charges. Clough’s response was:

Steve Evans - no caption required

Crawley called me far worse. He’s big enough and a Scotsman, too. When you have exchanged a few words with him, it makes this look pretty tame.”

Its not just the manager we have to worry about either. If you don’t keep an eye on non-league football, you may have missed Crawley’s big spending to get into the league. I thought there was something afoot when Pablo Mills signed for them after a decent season with Rotherham and within no time Crawley were bidding six figures for several players.

All things considered, I think it would be best all round if we play Swindon!
